“I’ve done the ring before but drove myself. It was nice to be in a small group and be able to sightsee. As expected, some of the stops are very rushed. The stop at The Red Fox Inn was completely unneeded. Giant touristic mess. The Skellig Ring was the best part of the tour. Sit on the right side of the vehicle for the best views. If you stop at the Derrynane House, go down the path to the left of the entrance to see the dunes. Stunning. The driver may tell you there isn’t enough time. He took us to the most amazing spots to get photographs. We had requested a stop to see sheep herding and a stop at Skelligs Chocolates and Bertie was sure to get us to both. Great experience watching the sheepdogs in action and the chocolates were great. Bertie was very informative and most importantly he is a safe driver. “The boat was great, we had rough waters our captain Brenden delivered us safely to and from the Skellig Islands. Elisabeth our guide was well informed and very personable. The boat “Skellig Bounty” has a canopy which was a welcome feature today keeping us dry and comfortable.
