“We had a great tour guide- his name escapes me, but he had a lot of family history that he so eloquently talked to us about. If I’m on a tour, I want history and he did such a great job! My husband did the black cab tour and it was the highlight of his whole trip. I did the titanic museum with my kids and it was good. The Giants causeway was beautiful- cold, def need a good jacket, but worth it!”

Review of Dublin’s Blarney Castle, Cork, and Rock of Cashel day tour, with itinerary details, value advice, practical tips, and honest drawbacks.

“Our driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. Pick up and drop off were clearly located. He took care of the admission process since ticket prices included in tour. Rock of Cashel was great! Quick visit. Our driver gave us more time at Blarney castle which was nice because you really need 2-3 hours just for castle and grounds. And that really doesn’t give you time for any shopping. (And we were there in off peak season.) I would recommend packing a lunch if you want to get the most out of your time. In my opinion, the visit to Cork was a waste of time unless you have something specific…”

“On June 7,we joined this Railtours Ireland offering. We boarded the train easily in Dublin and traveled comfortably to Limerick. We transferred to a bus. I was particularly interested in the drive through Limerick as I am a fan of author, Frank McClure who grew up there and our guide pointed out locales. The bus continued on to Bunratty Castle and an array of charming historical type buildings called the Folk Park. It was all very interesting. We stopped at a pub for a delicious lunch (paid for on our own). We continued on to the Cliffs of Moher which were impressive. It also has a very modern commercial part.…”

Review of Dublin’s 12-hour Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle and Ennis tour, with practical advice on timing, value, transport and what to expect.

“The guide, Leandro, was very nice! Unfortunately, I would say 30% are in English, 70% in Spanish. Sometimes the guide made jokes in Spanish, my friend explained them to me and they didn’t occur in English. Also sometimes he switched languages in his head too early and didn’t finish the English sentence to start talking in Spanish. The time was enough. We thought the tour in Galway was guided, but it’s fine that it was not. The AC in the bus kind of doesn’t run I think. But all in all very good experience! The time at the stops was more than enough!Read more”
