“We generally enjoyed the tour. However, on day 2, to the Ring of Kerry, it was raining all day, and we would have preferred to be taken somewhere else, perhaps a museum. We were unable to see most of the sights that day, due to the rain. Our other complaint is this: despite requesting to the bus driver to turn down the air-conditioning blower so that we could hear him, he didn't do this. We were disappointed we could not hear him, and it was uncomfortably cold in the bus.”

“Covered a great deal of Ireland with knowledgeable guides. The bus drivers and tour guides were very good as a whole. Railtours Ireland is run by a number of well meaning 70 and 80 year old retired gentleman who need to retire themselves or bring in some younger and female guides. They need to watch their hopefully unintentional sexist and racist comments. This is not a first class tour company as their motto says. As opposed to first class rail and bus tours we were continually shepherded onto buses with 50 or 60 people who were on other tours. The majority of travel is on large buses not trains. The…”

“I like the combination of train and bus. Our guide was Bob and he did a wonderful job. He showed us some turf peat at Bunratty Castle. The Cliffs of Moher were beautiful. We arrived in Galway about 5:00 so any touring was on our own. The next day was on the bus through the Connemara region to Kylemore Abbey. Please note this trip does not include a stop to Connemara marble store in Moycullen or viewing of the green marble mountains in Clifden. I though it did. I loved the views at the Kilary Fjord.”
